Mike Brookes started building bamboo fly rods in the 1980s and later the bought Phoenix Lines Ltd from its’ founder Noel Buxton in England. Noel Buxton kept silk lines alive after the demise of Kingfisher. 30 years on these lines still continue to be made in the same tradition.
